I have an only child so every year I plan and throw her a very cutesy, thought out, “extra” birthday party with no shame and this year is no different. HOWEVER, this year I did let her help me plan it!
I asked her what theme she wanted. She said fairies.
I typed fairy 5th birthday into Pinterest and let her choose inspiration photos.
Then we did some online shopping and I started planning to bring her vision to life!
She wanted a Tattoo Station

So we made it happen! I asked my best friend to dress up and be the tattoo fairy. All the kids LOVED it!
We ordered a bunch of temporary tattoo sets, I borrowed my coffee tables centerpiece, got these round things from my mother in law to use as a table and a stool, random pillows from my hammock, and a white table cloth. That’s all it took and BOOM, perfect spot for a tattoo fairy!
She wanted a bounce house and picked the balloon arch herself

It was a HIT and we used it for opening presents! Photogenic, cute, and its a backdrop that gets heavily used the rest of the party! I do recommend getting a bigger one though, especially if there will be lots of kids or older kids! The one i have will be great for my child on her own but if you’re ONLY getting one for parties this would only really be good for young toddler parties 1-5.
She asked for a potion station

I may have sold a dollar tree out of its glass bottles with corks BUT this potion station I made with things I got from there was a hit! I spent like $65 on everything and used a hot glue gun to seal them before everyone left so they couldn’t make messes with them at home. ALL the kids LOVED it, and everyone made one!
I had my mom dress up and be the Potion Fairy so there was an adult in charge of the station too!
She picked a very spring tea party, color vibed table inspiration

So, I made it happen. I have a job where I get free things from Amazon in exchange for reviews and everything on the tables was from things I got from that! a lot of it I already had in my hosting closet though and will be reusing for future parties as well!
She wanted everyone to be able to be a fairy too

We ordered fairy wings, bubble wands, and ribbon wands all in bulk. I used hangers and a stand that I already had and borrowed a basket from living room. add on some cheap fairy tags and ribbon i already had from dollar tree and this was the results!
I will always preach on buying higher quality hosting items if you’re a party person so you can just keep reusing everything!
She found an all-pink floral table inspiration photo

And this is what I put together!
Presents in front of the table, plates and silverware, giant flowers, wood butterflies, and a backdrop on a table stand.
The karaoke machine is my favorite part of the whole thing, it has microphones so you don’t have to yell over anyone to be heard. I used it to announce where things were, make announcements, sing happy birthday, read cards, and it’s just super handy to have for any event!
Everyone had a blast and that’s what matters most

Through all the planning, what matters most is that she had a blast and so did all the other kiddos! I call that a successful party!
I hope you enjoyed our first collaboration project! Follow along to see more party blogs in the future! I may forget to film myself doing things, but I take tons of photos, so I think blogging is right where I belong!
See you next time!
